This is the new single from NYC based band Wooing.
Fronted by multi-instrumentalist Rachel Trachtenburg - a performer in the New York music scene since she was six years old - Wooing offer hauntingly beautiful vocals backed by echoing guitars. Trachtenburg started playing as the drummer in her family’s band, The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players. Joined by JR Thomason (guitar) and Rosie Slater (drums), the band has existed for just over a year.
Dirtbag Transformation: "What is this?" was my first reaction. But what an amazing song. It reminds me a bit of the Pixies in how it pulls together dissonance and then resolves. malfunction54
I bought the 12 inch single for Bela Lugosi’s Dead at Fred’s records in St. John’s, Newfoundland in the eighties and it remained a treasured item in my collection until it was lost, left behind, stolen, loaned out, whatever. I accepted that that item was lost to time and likely irreplaceable. Hence my utter shock to see that I will once again hear this evocative masterwork on vinyl along with an extra three tracks. I recall Boys was included on the B-side of that long list single. Thank you! skritti
